Alexandra Murphy

Alexandra has previously worked in the insolvency and litigation department of a leading offshore law firm in Hong Kong, where she practised the law of the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands, and gained wide ranging experience in many aspects of offshore commercial litigation, including in relation to directors’ duties, trusts, shareholder disputes, interim remedies, and litigation funding.

Prior to her move to Hong Kong, Alexandra completed her legal training as a barrister at a common law set in England, acting in respect of family, employment, personal injury, contractual disputes, and criminal matters. She was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010, and the British Virgin Islands in 2013 (currently non-practising in both jurisdictions).

In 2020, Alexandra completed a Master of Laws at Columbia University in New York, specialising in international and comparative law. She also holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Law in London.
